It was a bitter cold day, after you accounted for the below zero wind chill. But the plan was in place, the sun was out, and the proposal was captured. After the proposal, with friends and family watching behind me, we drove up to the Kress Center in Egg Harbor, the local library with a reception area upstairs. We were able to warm up and use the stairs to get a few post-proposal engagement photos. I've done a number of winter proposals, and two stand out for how bitter cold they were. One at Lautenbach's orchard where I hid in a snowy ditch waiting for the frozen couple to come around on a horse-drawn carriage and stop near me for the surprise proposal. It was cloudy that day and temps were in the single digits. And this morning proposal with temps below zero.
