After a high-spirited wedding and reception, the bride and groom agreed to leave the dancing for a few minutes and head outside for a night portrait with Sturgeon Bay's steel bridge in the background. The wedding was held in Egg Harbor, and then the bus took the couple and their wedding party to Potawatomi State Park for a photo session with autumn colors, including a climb up the historic park tower overlooking Sherwood Point. There were also some great locations along the park's roads where the light fell just right on the couple and the trees to get some dramatic images. We were so lucky to have such a balmy, sunny day for fall! After the photo trip, we headed to Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay, right on the waterfront. It's the perfect spot for photos during the day. But at night? It's spectacular! I knew this was going to be a special wedding when we did our engagement session together the previous spring. We hit up Crossroads at Big Creek and the Canal Station at the lake, and every photo we took was even more spectacular than the one before. They were fun and funny--I couldn't wait for this day.
