This fun bride and groom held their wedding and reception at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh. The famed museum and surrounding property includes a picturesque chapel, where the couple said their vows.
After the ceremony, there was time for photos on the beautiful grounds (including a bridge over a pond, trails, hills and other interesting geography.
It was a hot day, so it was quite a relief to get inside the air conditioned museum where cocktails were held amid the displays.
For dinner, we moved into the War Birds exhibit room, complete with historic preserved aircraft. We set up lights and posted with some of the remarkable airplanes.
The couple's dinner details included brass airplane can openers and other airplane-related items.
The couple dined with their wedding party, in front of a display of airplanes and another exhibit of WWII airplane nose art.
Their grand march might have been the most fun, as they all "flew" in like kids pretending to fly.
The evening concluded with the best wedding cupcake display I've ever seen (and tasted!) and an evening of dancing.
It was still very warm at the end of the evening, and we were grateful the reception had been held indoors. There was another wedding on the EAA grounds that day, in a tent. That would be awesome about 99% of the time in the summer, but this particular night, with the heat and humidity, the museum interior was the best place to be.
